I’m Meredith Fore: a theoretical physicist working on her PhD in Seattle, Washington!
I’ve always loved to write, and in fact wanted to be a journalist before physics won me over. Juggling physics graduate school and writing is hard, so this blog is where I can practice and write about science that I think is cool without worrying about if an editor will accept my pitch! I also write about graduate school and life in Seattle.
For those of you interested in my PhD science: I use quantum Monte Carlo methods to study the molecule CH5+, also known as the “enfant terrible” of vibrational spectroscopy. I call it my pet molecule. It does not like to behave.
